Jared Joseph Leto (født 1971) er en amerikansk skuespiller og artist. Hans gjennombrudd som skuespiller var i fjernsynsserien My So-Called Life, hvor han spilte Jordan Catalano. Leto er også vokalist og spiller gitar i rockebandet Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Han vant Oscar for beste mannlige birolle, for hans prestasjon som den transkjønnede Rayon i Dallas Buyers Club.[5]
Familie
[rediger | rediger kilde]Leto ble født den 26. desember 1971 i Bossier City i Louisiana i USA. Han har en eldre bror, med navnet Shannon, og to yngre halvbrødre fra hans fars andre ekteskap. Hans mor, Constance, hadde ansvaret for å oppdra Jared og Shannon etter skilsmissen. Shannon Leto er forøvrig trommeslageren i 30 Seconds to Mars.
