Don Was (født Don Fagenson, 13. september 1952) er en amerikansk musiker, bassist og plateprodusent fra Detroit.
Han tok kunstnernavnet Don Was, da han dannet bandet Was (Not Was) med studiekamerat David Weiss (David Was) på 80-tallet.
Don Was har fått stor anerkjennelse som suksessfull plateprodusent, og har produsert artister som Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Carly Simon, Iggy Pop, Brian Wilson, Roy Orbison, B.B. King, Ziggy Marley, Al Green, Garth Brooks, Ringo Starr, Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson, Elton John og Jaguares.[3]
