Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 er en amerikansk sci-fi-/action-/eventyrfilm fra 2017, regissert av James Gunn, med Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel og Michael Rooker i hovedrollene.
Filmen er den andre i rekken av Guardians of the Galaxy-filmer, og en oppfølger til Guardians of the Galaxy fra 2014.
Filmen hadde premiere på kino 5. mai 2017 i USA.
Handling[rediger | rediger kilde]
I 2014 er Peter Quill, leiemorderen Gamora, Drax, en vaskebjørn ved navn Rocket og Baby Groot kjent som Guardians of the Galaxy. Ayesha ber Guardians beskytte verdifulle batterier fra Abilisk, et inter-dimensjonalt monster. Etter at Rocket stjeler batteriene for seg selv, blir Guardians sitt skip angrepet med droner. Dronene blir ødelagt av en mystisk figur, men skipet med The Guardians krasj-lander på en nærliggende planet.
På denne planeten avslører den mystiske figuren seg som Quills far, Ego, og han inviterer Quill, Gamora og Drax til hans egen hjem-planet. Rocket og Groot blir igjen for å forsøke å reparere romskipet deres, og beskytte Gamora's søster Nebula. I mellomtiden ønsker Ayesha å ansette Yondu Udonta og mannskapet hans, som tidligere ble forvist fra et større Ravager-samfunn på grunn av handel med barn, for å ta igjen The Guardians.
