Wendy Nilsen (født i 1979) er en norsk samfunnsviter, og er forsker I ved Arbeidsforskningsinstituttet (AFI) ved Oslomet – storbyuniversitetet.[3]

Nilsens fremste forskningsinteresser er psykologi, sosial - og arbeidspsykologi og utviklingspsykologi. Hun har særlig beskjeftiget seg med temaer som ungdom og barn, ungdom og rus, arbeid og psykisk helse, familieliv, foreldreskap og omsorg for barn, sykefravær og psykisk helse.

Utdanning og yrkeskarriere[rediger | rediger kilde]

Nilsen har mastergrad i sosial- og community-psykologi fra Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) og doktorgrad i psykologi fra Universitetet i Oslo (UiO).[4] Doktorgradsavhandlingen hadde tittelen Depressive symptoms in adolescence – A longitudinal study of predictors, pathways and consequences, og ble publisert i 2012.[5]

I 2007 ble Nilsen ansatt ved Regionalt kunnskapssenter for barn og unge ved NTNU, der hun arbeidet som vitenskapelig assistent og foreleser. Fra 2008 til 2012 var hun ansatt som stipendiat ved Folkehelseinstituttet (FHI), og fra 2013 til 2018 arbeidet hun som postdoktor samme sted. I perioden 2012 til 2018 var hun også tilknyttet daværende Nasjonalt kunnskapssenter for helsetjenesten som forsker. Nilsen har siden 2015 vært forsker I ved Arbeidsforskningsinstituttet.[4]
