Harald Throne-Holst (født i 1970) er en norsk sosiolog, sivilingeniør og forbruksforsker, og er forsker II ved Forbruksforskningsinstituttet SIFO ved Oslomet – storbyuniversitetet.[2] Hans fremste forskningsinteresser er samspillet mellom teknologi og samfunn, ansvarlig teknologiutvikling (RRI), nanoteknologi, energibruk i husholdninger og bærekraftig forbruk.

Utdanning, verv og yrkeskarriere[rediger | rediger kilde]

Throne-Holst er sivilingeniør i uorganisk kjemi fra daværende Norges Tekniske Høgskole (nå NTNU) og har doktorgrad i samstyring (governance) fra University of Twente i Nederland.[2] Doktoravhandlingen hadde tittelen Consumers, Nanotechnology and Responsibilities Operationalizing the Risk Society.[3]

Han har arbeidet ved SIFO siden 1996, der han har vært ansatt som henholdsvis forsker og forskningsleder, før sin nåværende stilling som seniorforsker.[4][5]

Throne-Holst har hatt en rekke styreverv, deriblant i Styret for statens institutt for forbruksforskning (SIFO)[6], NANOMAT-programmet[7], GreeNudge[8] og Direktør Throne Holsts Stiftelse for ernæringsforskning[9].
