Barbie Girl
«Barbie Girl» er en sang av dansk-norske dance-popgruppen Aqua.
Sangen ble utgitt 14. mai 1997[1][2] som deres tredje singel,[3] og var den første av bandets singler som ble sluppet i Storbritannia. Sangen ble utgitt på debutalbumet Aquarium (1997)[4] og var skrevet av Claus Norreen og Søren Rasted etter at bandet hadde sett en kitsch-utstilling.[5]
Sangen toppet hitlister i 14 land.[6] I Storbritannia lå den på topp i fire uker,[7][8][9] i Australia i tre uker.[10] Den nådde #7 på den amerikanske Billboard Hot 100 listen.[11]
Singlen har per februar 2022 solgt over 8 millioner eksemplarer verden over.[12] Musikkvideoen til sangen har per februar 2022 blitt vist over 1 milliard ganger på YouTube.[13][14] Like fullt kåret magasinet Rolling Stone låta (og videoen) i september 2011 til «den dårligste sangen i 1990-årene», ifølge oppslag hos Fox News.[15]
