Stig S. Gezelius

Stig Strandli Gezelius (født 1. januar 1969 i Tønsberg) er en norsk sosiolog og professor i sosiologi ved USN Handelshøyskolen ved Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge (USN). Han forsker på miljø- og ressursproblematikk, regulering, håndhevelse og regeletterlevelse i næringslivet og uformell økonomisk samhandling.[1]

Han ble cand.polit. i sosiologi ved UiO i 1996 og dr.polit. med avhandlingen Legitimacy, Compliance, Survival: Natural Resource Harvesters and the State ved UiO i 2002. Han var konsulent i SSB 1996–1997, stipendiat ved UiO 1997–2001 og forsker ved Norsk institutt for landbruksøkonomisk forskning (NILF) fra 2001 til 2014.[2] Han fikk i 2009 opprykk til forsker I (forsker med professorkompetanse) ved NILF.[3] Han ble i 2014 professor ved den daværende Høgskolen i Buskerud og Vestfold, nå Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge.

Gezelius har som tillitsvalgt i Forskerforbundet engasjert seg for akademisk frihet i instituttsektoren.[4]
