Los Lobos på Commons

Los Lobos (spansk for "Ulvene") er et meksikansk-amerikansk band fra Los Angeles, California i 1973. Musikken deres er påvirket av rock, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, folk, R&B, blues og tradisjonell musikk som cumbia, bolero og norteño.

Bandet fikk en internasjonal stjernestatus i 1987, da deres versjon av «La Bamba» nådde førsteplassen Billboard Hot 100 liste, fikk en fjerdeplass på VG-lista og toppet også listene i Storbritannia og flere andre land. Sanger av Los Lobos er spilt inn av Elvis Costello, Waylon Jennings, Frankie Yankovic og Robert Plant.[2][3]

I 2015 ble de nominert for introduksjon til Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I 2018 kom de inn i Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. De er også kjent for å fremføre temasangen for Handy Manny.[4]

Fram til 2024 har de blitt nominert til tolv Grammy Awards og har vunnet fire.
