Scott Joplin (født 24. november 1868, død 1. april 1917) var en amerikansk komponist og pianist. Joplin fikk tilnavnet «kongen av ragtime» og betegnes som den viktigste ragtime-komponisten.
Joplin fikk sitt store gjennombrudd med «Maple Leaf Rag» i 1899. Etter dette forsøkte han seg som operakomponist blant annet med Treemonisha i 1911, men dette endte i fiasko.
Hans musikk fikk en overveldende renessanse i 1974, da flere av hans komposisjoner, som for eksempel «The Entertainer» ble brukt i filmen The Sting.
