The Jesus and Mary Chain er et alternativ rock-band fra Glasgow, Skottland. Bandet ble grunnlagt i 1984, og oppløst 15 år senere. Frontfigurene i bandet var brødreparet Jim og William Reid, og det meste dreide seg om disse to vokalistene og gitaristene, mens resten av bandet stadig ble byttet ut. The Jesus and Mary Chain oppnådde aldri noen stor kommersiell suksess, men ofte betraktet som et svært innflytelsesrikt band, i likhet med bandets største inspirasjonskilde, The Velvet Underground.
