(Sorry that I write in English. Feel free to answer in Norwegian, I understand it very well.) Where did you get the length of the river? I've found many different sources (using Google with both Finnish and Norwegian names), ranging from 128 to 143 km. I don't know which one is correct, but that 360 km of yours seems to be far too much. When you look at a map, you will see that the section of the river where it flows on the Russian border (that 112 km seems reasonable) should make the most of the river's total length. --Oami 6. mai 2006 kl.14:51 (UTC)

The numbers 112km is the length of the border to Russia where it is the official border line. Sources for this I believe is NVE. For some of the data De lengste elvene i Norge (The longest rivers in Norway) and Elver med størst nedbørsfelt (The rivers with the largest drainage basin). — Jeblad 6. mai 2006 kl.15:17 (UTC)

Thanks for the link. I still can't believe that 360 km, though. The startpoint of the river is at (or very close to) the Finnish-Russian border and it flows some time in an entirely Russian territory, before it comes to the Norwegian-Russian border; and this entirely-Russian section can't be more than 40 km. It is correct that only about 40 km is on Russian side, but the greate length is from Finland. The greate lake Enare (Inari on finish) has it's outlet through Pasvikelva. The river out of Enare is named Paatsjoki on finish. The greatest river into Enare is Ivalojoki, and the start of this river is also the start of Pasvikelva (or more correct, Pasvik watercourse). The river named Pasvikelva starts from Enare, and is 143 km. The river on Norwegian teritory is 128 km, which explains the other numbers. But on the whole watercourse, it is 360. I have changed the length back to 360 km which is the length NVE operates with.

It migth be an idea to create a new side named Pasvikvassdraget with the length of 360 km, and another on Pasvikelva which is one of many rivers in this watercourse. SnowDanzer 26. sep 2006 kl. 21:11 (UTC)

Er det noen som kan sette oversikten over kraftstasjoner inn i en tabell så det blir mer oversiktlig? Jeg vet ikke selv hvordan jeg gjør det.

Utløpet av Pasvikelva

Har endret utløpet til Pasvikelva fra Varangerfjorden til Bøkfjorden, som er det korrekte. Bøkfjorden går fra Varangerfjorden og inn på østsiden av Kirkenes.

Helnorsk gränsälv??

Jag ser i artikeln att Pasvikälven är en gränsälv, och att därför bara norska medborgare får fiska i älven. Det låter litet ologiskt. Råder det verkligen totalförbud för ryska medborgare att fiska där? Jörgen B 4. okt 2008 kl. 20:49 (CEST)
