Minor Planet Center
The Minor Planet Center (MPC) er et senter ansvarlig for navngivingen av mindre himmellegemer i solsystemet, slik som småplaneter, kometer og måne (sammen med Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams. Minor Planet Center arbeider ved Smithsonian Astrophysical Laboratory og er en del av Den internasjonale astronomiske union med statlig støtte fra NASA.[1]
