Michael Eliot Howard (1922–2019) var en engelsk historiker, Chichele Professor of the History of War, Honorary Fellow of All Souls College, Regius Professor of Modern History ved University of Oxford, Robert A. Lovett Professor of Military and Naval History ved Yale University, og grunnlegger av Department of War Studies, King's College London. I 1958 deltok han i etableringen av International Institute for Strategic Studies.
