Richard Sennett

Richard Sennett (født 1. januar 1943 i Chicago) er en kjent amerikansk sosiolog. Han er professor i sosiologi ved London School of Economics og ved New York University.

Sennett studerte samfunnsvitenskap ved Harvard under bl.a. David Riesman, Erik Erikson og Oscar Handlin. Han var også tilknyttet MIT. Sennett er antagelig mest kjent for sine studier av sosiale bånd i byer og virkningene av det urbane liv på individer i den moderne verden.
