Hannover 96 er en tysk fotballklubb fra byen Hannover, som er hovedstaden i delstaten Niedersachsen. Klubben ble stiftet 12. april 1896 under navnet Hannoverscher FC 1896. Fotball har vært klubbens hovedidrett siden 1899. I 1913 slo klubben seg sammen med BV Hannover 1898 og sammen dannet de Hannoverscher Sportverein (HSV) von 1896.
