Stephen Fain Williams (født 23. september 1936 i New York City, død 7. august 2020 i Washington, D.C.) var en amerikansk politiker og dommer.

Biografi[rediger | rediger kilde]

Han var føderal dommer ved United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit fra 1986 til sin død. Han ble nomiert til stillingen av president Ronald Reagan.

Williams ble innlagt på sykehus i Washington, D.C. i juni 2020 med COVID-19. Han døde av infeksjonssykdommen på Sibley Memorial-sykehuset to måneder etter, den 7. august 2020, i en alder av 83 år.[3]

Han forfattet en rekke fagbøker og -artikler. Hans siste verk var Liberal Reform in an Illiberal Regime, 1906–1915: The Creation of Private Property in Russia, en bok som fikk ros av den tidligere russiske statsminister Jegor Gaidar.
