Eisenhower Executive Office Building

Executive Office of the President (EOP) er den amerikanske presidentens kanselli og består av hans nærmeste stab og politiske rådgivere, og husholdet i Det hvite hus, presidentens embetsbolig. EOP ble opprettet av Kongressen i 1939 og har vokst betydelig i størrelse; over 1 800 ansatte pr. 2008, som arbeider i Det hvite hus og Eisenhower Executive Office Building i Washington, DC.

EOP ledes av presidentens stabssjef. De øverste stabsmedlemmene i EOP har tittelen Assistant to the President, det neste nivået har tittelen Deputy Assistant to the President og det tredje nivået har tittelen Special Assistant to the President. Få stabsutnevnelser må godkjennes av Senatet, slik som er vanlig for andre høyere embetsmenn i USAs regjering (det er imidlertid noen få unntak, for eksempel direktøren for Office of Management and Budget).
