Altars of Madness Blessed are the Sick (1991)

Altars of Madness er Morbid Angels debutalbum, og en milepæl i death metals historie. Den remasterede versjonen (utgitt 2003) inkluderte flere remiksede versjoner av sanger fra album. I 2006 kom en dualdisc-utgave med remasteren fra 2003 på audiosiden og Live Madness 89, innspilt på Nottingham Rock City den 14. november 1989 på DVD-siden. Dette albumet inneholder også noen uslitelige live-favoritter, som «Chapel of Ghouls», «Blasphemy» og «Maze of Torment».

Det britiske magasinet Terrorizer rangerer dette albumet som Morbid Angel's og death metal's mest utsøkte, og beskriver det som «bludgeoning and raw but also technical, exacting and intimidatingly consistent».
