Hello, Kvifor fjellet heiter Ceciliekruna ? På sørsida av Oldedalen kneisar det 1717 meter høge fjellet Ceciliekruna. Opphaveleg heitte fjellet Lidanibba, men på 1770-talet stod Cecilie Ingebrigtsdotter Beinnes krunebrur nede i bygda. Same året var ho den første kvinna som gjekk til topps på fjellet, og etter denne hendinga vart fjellet heitande Ceciliekruna.

We find it on several web sites and it is always the same text, never the date of the marriage is mentioned, When was Sisiliekruna climbed for the first time, and when Cecilie did this ascent. This story is it true? the ascent of CecileI seems to take place in 1776-1777. It was 10 years before the first ascent of Mont-Blanc! During the eighteenth century it was not so often than a countrywoman climb on the top of a high mountain, just for pleasure or sportive performance.
