中文（中国大陆）：图为新四军成立一年后，1938年在汉口，斯诺会见叶挺司令员。1937年9月22日，国民党中央通讯社发表了《中共中央为公布国共合作宣言》。次日，蒋介石发表《对中国共产党宣言的谈话》。至此，第二次国共合作正式形成。在1938年6月的武汉会战中，八路军、新四军主动配合武汉保卫战，先后作战上千次，配合了浴血奋战的国民党主力部队。国共两党在政治、军事、经济、外交诸方面的密切合作，共同促使第二次国共合作在武汉会战期间进入到黄金时期。在这个短暂时期，共产党人可以往返国、共地区不必担心遭到报复。
