A Bandeira de Propriá foi criada no ano de 1978 por Antonio Batista Januário, o conhecido artista Plástico, nascido em Propriá a 17 de novembro de 1929, aprovada por unanimidade pelos vereadores da Câmara Municipal de Propriá. Representada por um BRASÃO, cujo desenho se vê em Arcos, inspiração nos Arcos da Ponte que ficam de lado de Propriá. BANDEIRA com fundo branco, representando a indústria de beneficiamento de arroz.
