Duplicate categories[rediger kilde]

When trying to resolve some duplicate Wikidata items, I found a number of categories here that appear to be exact duplicates:

Not being familiar with Norwegian naming conventions, I didn't merge them myself. I think the first of each category should be the better name (in particular, in #2 the second one has his name misspelled). Can someone please merge these?

Thanks, Vahurzpu (diskusjon) 18. jan. 2023 kl. 03:01 (CET)[svar]

Hey hey, @Vahurzpu! Thank you for the notice! I've gone ahead and collected the astray pages into one category, and I've merged the Wikidata items I could merge! (Q10213968) remains unmerged due to other clashing interwiki links. Thanks! EdoAug (diskusjon) 18. jan. 2023 kl. 05:09 (CET)[svar]
@EdoAug: Thanks! I'll have to leave a note on itwiki about that one. Vahurzpu (diskusjon) 18. jan. 2023 kl. 05:30 (CET)[svar]

Editnotice[rediger kilde]

Hi, does nowiki have editnotice like enwiki does? I tried making one at Bruker:FatalFit/Redigeringsnotiser. Thanks, Dylan | ✉   26. mai 2023 kl. 04:31 (CEST)[svar]

Hi, @FatalFit! I've been trying to experiment, looking through our available documentation and templates, and comparing to the stuff available on enwiki. Although our documentation on editnotices is lacking, I believe that the functionality is not available for user pages on nowiki at this time. It is used by some of our project pages, such as our forums. Perhaps @Jon Harald Søby knows more about this? EdoAug (diskusjon) 26. mai 2023 kl. 05:14 (CEST)[svar]

Concerning the Iranian citizen Salwan Momika.[rediger kilde]

Good evening to the embassy. I have just viewed your article on the Iranian man accused of burning the Qur'an in public in Sweden, Salwan Momika. A report from a (non-state affiliated) journalist in Iran, via twitter/X has indicated that he has been found deceased in Norway. It has been added to the English Wikipedia article within the last 40 minutes. Since this is reasonably fresh news, I am watching press wires for any reports confirming his death, or indeed, reporting that he is still alive. It's a bit of a problem, with this coming on April 1st, but I never discount anything until it's confirmed or denied one way, or the other. Thanks for keeping watch! I can't find any Norwegian sources confirming or denying his death yet. The most recent news about him is from about 5 days ago saying he was gonna seek asylum in Norway. This article also confirms that he had entered Norway. If it is true, his name should pop up in something like NRK's news feed (or just as a headline topic) very shortly.
