«Прямоугольное двухстороннее полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, воспроизводящее фигуры из герба Калтанского городского округа, выполненные синим, чёрным, красным и жёлтым цветом».

Описание герба: «В лазоревом поле с включённой чёрной оконечностью поверх всего червлёная звезда, тонко окаймлённая золотом, о 12 неравновеликих лучах, из которых самый длинный обращён влево и вниз».
