Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan er en britisk film fra 2006, med den britiske komikeren Sacha Baron Cohen i hovedrollen som den kasakhstanske journalisten Borat Sagdijev. Borat-figuren ble kjent igjennom Baron Cohens TV-serie Da Ali G Show, og er en usivilisert, rasistisk og mannssjåvinistisk journalist. Baron Cohen har valgt å gjøre alt promoarbeid i forbindelse med filmen som figuren Borat.
Filmen ble nominert til Oscar for «best tilrettelagte manus» under den 79. Oscar-utdelingen.
«Borat» fra Kasakhstan er i USA for å lage en dokumentarfilm om «verdens flotteste land». I løpet av innspillingen viser det seg imidlertid at han blir mer interessert i å gifte seg med Pamela Anderson enn i selve filmarbeidet.
Den russiske filmkontrollen bestemte i november 2006 at filmen skulle totalforbys i Russland. Dette gjorde Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan til den første filmen uten pornografisk innhold som ble forbudt i landet. De russiske myndighetene begrunnet forbudet med at innholdet i filmen kunne virke støtende på seerne.[1]
