Pulitzerprisen for avislederskriving har blitt utdelt siden 1917 for utmerket skriving av avisledere, målet på fortreffelighet er en klar stil, moralsk formål, sunt resonnement, og makt til å påvirke opinionen i hva forfatteren oppfatter som riktig retning.
