Philip Ziegler

Philip Sandeman Ziegler (født 24. desember 1929, i Ringwood, England) er en britisk biograf og historiker.

Innhold

Ziegler studerte ved St Cyprian's School, Eastbourne, og flyttet til Summer Fields School Oxford, da disse to ble slått sammen til én skole.^[1] Han studerte derefter ved Eton College og New College, Oxford. Han tok en grad i rettsvitenskap før han gikk inn i British Foreign Service, hvor han ble utstasjonert i Laos, Pretoria og Bogotá, som også i NATO-delegasjonen i Paris.^[2]

I 1967 trakk han seg fra Foreign Service, og ble ansatt ved HarperCollins. Han var ansvarlig redaktør ved Collins fra 1979 til 1980. Han har skrevet artikler i en rekke tidsskrifter og aviser, som blant annet The Spectator, The Listener, The Times, The Daily Telegraph og History Today.^[2]
