LaVern Baker (født Delores Baker 11. november 1929, død 10. mars 1997) var en amerikansk R&B-sangerinne.

Som ung begynte hun å synge på nattklubbene i Chicago under flere forskjellige psevdonymer. Hun ble oppdaget og tilbudt platekontrakt i 1953 av Atlantic Records hvor hun utga sitt første album i 1956 etter å ha hatt suksess med singelen "Tweedlee Dee" året før.

Som R&B-sangerinne hadde hun stor suksess gjennom 50- og 60-tallet, men trakk seg tilbake fra rampelyset på slutten av 60-tallet etter å ha skadet seg alvorlig under en reise til Vietnam for å underholde soldatene der. Hun gjorde comeback som artist i 1988, og senere deltok hun også i musikaler og innspilling av filmmusikk.

Baker ble i 1991 innvalgt til Rockens æresgalleri for sin lange karriere innenfor rhythm and blues.
