Jethro Tull er et britisk rockeband dannet i Blackpool i England i 1967. Musikken kan beskrives som progressiv rock. De har gitt ut flere klassiske album. Mest kjent er nok Aqualung og Thick as a Brick. Albumene Thick as a Brick og A Passion Play fra henholdsvis 1972 og 1973 inneholder bare ett spor på hvert album. Grunnen til dette var at mange mente og trodde at Aqualung var et konseptalbum, noe Ian Anderson mente det ikke var, og da ville han lage, som han kalte det: «The Mother of All Concept Albums».
