Beskrivelse	English: The Canadians took the important position of Vimy Ridge on Easter Monday, April 9, 1917. They advanced with brilliance, having taken the whole system of German front-line trenches between dawn and 6.30 A.M. This shows squads of machine gunners operating from shell-craters in support of the infantry on the plateau above the ridge. Français : Les Canadiens ont pris une position importante sur la crête de Vimy le lundi de Pâque, 9 avril 1917. Ils ont avancé avec brillance, ayant capture le système de tranchées de première ligne des Allemands au complet entre l'aube et 6:30 AM. Cette photographie montre des escouades de mitrailleurs operant dans des cratères d'obus en appui à l'infanterie sur le plateau au-dessus de la crête.
