I agree. The current flag is shown on http://www.au.int/en/about/symbols, it is used on de:Flagge der Afrikanischen Union and fr:Drapeau de l'Union africaine, but it is not available in Commons yet. M Haugen (diskusjon) 10. mai 2012 kl. 09:28 (CEST)

Blank African map to replace the current, erroneously used flag.

I guess we'll have to wait till the copyright on the design of the flag expires (in 70+ years), or till the AU releases the flag into PD and the file can be transferred to Commons. In the meantime, although they are similar, it is inapropriate to use African-Malgache Union. I would suggest using a blank map of Africa (thereby maintaining some of the imagery of the flag), an example of which I have attached here. V85 (diskusjon) 10. mai 2012 kl. 10:09 (CEST)
