David L. Arneson (født 1. oktober 1947 i Minnesota, USA, død 7. april 2009) var en amerikansk spilldesigner.
Han var med på å skape rollespillet Dungeons & Dragons sammen med Gary Gygax i 1973.
I forbindelse med utgivelsen av World of Warcrafts Secrets of Ulduar skrev Blizzard Entertainment i sine Patch Notes følgende om Dave: "Blizzard Entertainment would like to dedicate Secrets of ulduar in memory of Dave Arneson. We were greatly saddened by the news of Dave´s passing. His work, passion, and creativity helped give lift to an entirely new genre of gaming, and our fondest memories of playing Dungeons & Dragons continue to inspire us. Faraewell, Dave, and thank you.
