Alkaid (η UMa / η Ursae Majoris / Eta Ursae Majoris) er en stjerne i stjernebildet Store bjørn. Et annet navn er Benetnash (Benetnasch).
Alkaid er den østligste stjernen i asterismen Karlsvognen.
Den har tilsynelatende størrelsesklasse +1,9, noe som gjør den til den 35. sterkeste stjernen på himmelen. Den er en ung blå-hvit stjerne i hovedserien og har spektralklasse B3 V. Med 20 000 kelvin er den blant de varmere stjernene som er synlige med det blotte øye.
